Our experience spans mainstream and specialist education, programme leadership, staff development, safeguarding, behaviour support, sensory inclusion and multi-agency working. We have worked with young people who experience complex needs, sensory processing differences, social, emotional and mental health difficulties, and barriers to accessing education.
Throughout our careers, we have held senior leadership and specialist roles, including Assistant Head of Education, Deputy Head, Programme Manager, Regional Lead and Sensory Specialist. These roles have involved strategic development, quality assurance, safeguarding, staff leadership, professional training and working collaboratively with schools, families, local authorities, therapists and other professionals.
A particular area of our expertise is sensory-informed practice. We have developed and implemented specialist sensory provision, created staff training and professional development programmes, and supported teams to understand how sensory needs can influence regulation, behaviour, communication and engagement. This experience has shaped the development of The Ready Framework.
The Ready Framework brings together our experience of education, sensory inclusion, behaviour support and therapeutic approaches into a practical, structured model that can be embedded within educational settings. We recognise that every young person experiences the world differently, and our approach is designed to help staff understand individual needs, identify what supports regulation and engagement, and translate this understanding into meaningful strategies and everyday practice.
Our work is grounded in observation, evidence-informed practice, collaboration and ongoing review. We believe that effective support is not simply about identifying a need, but about understanding the young person behind that need and finding practical ways to help them feel regulated, understood, supported and ready to engage.
We are passionate about supporting professionals to feel more confident when working with young people whose needs can be complex or difficult to communicate. Through The Ready Framework, we aim to share our knowledge, build staff confidence and create consistent approaches that can make a meaningful difference to young people's experiences of education.
Our experience is built around three things: understanding the young person, supporting the adults around them, and creating practical strategies that enable young people to engage, progress and succeed.
